Well, I was doing such a good job at actually posting on a regular basis. Life has once again gotten busy enough that posting has been moved down on the priority list. I will hopefully find some time to upload some photos from the wedding and the honeymoon.
I have also started working at Northwestern, as a web designer in a group called NUAMPS (Northwestern University Advnaced Media Production Studio). Things are going very well and I’m enjoying it!
Here is one of the photos that Deidre took at the wedding. Check out her site she has some great work: www.deidrelynnphotography.com.

I haven’t been able to keep up with my posts lately, there has been a lot going on with the wedding. Things are actually getting a little stressed despite how much we’ve tried to avoid that. Last weekend the guys all took me out in Chicago. We had a great time. We started at Frontere Grill, then the 95th (in the Hancock), then to David Burke’s, after Burke’s we had a table a Krem. It was a lot of fun.
The wedding is in almost 48 hours, Chel and I are working on all of the last minute things and just trying to get everything hammered out. Then Monday morning we’ll head to Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon.
I probably won’t be posting for a while…

I got to spend the last few days up in Chetek at our cabin. Bo and I went up on Sunday night and got to fish and chill out for a couple of days. We drank some Leinenkugl’s Summer Shandy and just relaxed. One of the things that I love about the lake is that there are a couple of families of Bald Eagles. They are by far my favorite bird, and I love when I get the chance to photograph them. There is a nest just up the lake from our place. Above is one of the photos that I took this trip, the weather wasn’t great so I didn’t seem them much and didn’t get to spend the time shooting that I wanted. But we had a great trip anyway.

Its summer time in Chicago and every Wednesday and Saturday there are fireworks out over Burnham Harbor. With all of the fog and clouds this evening I had pretty much forgot about them. When they started peeking out of the clouds at 9:30 I grabbed my camera and my 80-200 and got some amazing images. With the clouds acting as a backdrop for the photos the images ended up being pretty amazing. I put a bunch of them together as a Quicktime movie. There is a link below (watch the clouds, you may have to scrub the timeline at your own pace).

I thought this was a fun shot. I think it would be perfect for a chase or shoot out in a movie, maybe I’m just thinking of that scene in the Jackel…
Anyway, I got a new lens for my Nikon kit today. I have been looking at the 12-24 DX lens for a couple of years now, and I final got one. I’m totally excited and think that it will be awesome for the wide angle landscapes that I normally shoot. More images will be up on PhotographyByYeti.com soon!

I’ve been doing some photography for the Iona Group for the last few days. The shoot is for some abstract artwork to be used on their new website. I’ve been shooting with the Canon 5D, which has been totally awesome. The full frame sensor makes a huge difference.
Here are a couple of samples:

In the spirit of Memorial Day, Ferolo and I went out and did some target shooting. It was a great. The worst part is that I cut my hair last night and my head is pretty sun burnt. Happy Memorial Day!!

Hooah!
I am very proud to be an American! I love this country and what we stand for, when we actually stand together. I am very greatful to everyone that is fighting or has fought for this country. I am happy to celebrate the freedoms that so many have bravely given their lives for us to enjoy. I will continue to thank God daily for the men and women that have dedicated their lives to serving for the rest of us!

I have to be honest. I haven’t played GTA since GTA2 on the PC, and that I only played for an hour. I haven’t ever been a huge fan of the idea, but with all of the press around GTA4, I had to see what everyone was up in arms about. First and foremost not a game for kids, but overall a great way to waste a day. If for nothing else than just driving around and or flying around the cite. The game is HUGE the map is insanely detailed. I’m sure that I will waste more of my time playing.
The helicopter is my favorite, but I need some more flight time. And my landings are pretty rough….

www.photographybyyeti.com/blog
In the free time that I’ve had lately I’ve been able to work on a few of the projects that I’ve had on the back burner. One of them being Photography by Yeti. I have been able to create a site that is build with and AJAX framework for the simple photo gallery and I have created a Photography by Yeti Blog, where I am adding posts with new concepts, new photos, and general information about my photography. The image above is from the most recent post on the Photography by Yeti site.
